Cooking in confinement
It is said that there is a silver lining to every cloud and while it hasn’t been easy to find one in the current climate, there are a few rays of sunshine on the culinary front. I am probably not alone in using the lockdown to start working my way through the strata of things that have lingered in the lower regions of my freezer for far too long. I can confirm that fish does not freeze so well for long periods as it seems to go a bit ‘spongy’. However, gamebirds, woodpigeon and venison seem to last well.
Allied with this freezer exploration, my daily allocation of lockdown exercise has allowed me to wander the generally deserted country lanes and bridleways of Dorset close to my home and indulge in a bit
