Times are a-changing

It goes without saying that – for all of us – there has been a cataclysmic change in our lives since the arrival of Covid-19. I also have a free range egg business no more than a couple of hundred yards from me, that I can walk to across a field in complete isolation. In fact it was here only a few nights ago that I shot a fox that had been a real nuisance over the past few weeks.

The trouble had started when the remains of chickens were turning up in various parts of the farm; in fact I had even found a few puffs of feathers in the field adjoining my own house.
