• 40cm ( 1/2yd) cream tone-on-tone print fabric (stitcheries)

• 42 assorted fat eighths of coordinating print fabrics OR 21 fat quarters for a less scrappy look (hexagons)

• 40cm ( 1/2yd) floral print fabric (binding)

• 1.4m (1 1/2yd) backing fabric – see Note

• No 9 embroidery needle

• One skein of DMC Colour Variations in Water Lilies (4040) or a variegated thread to coordinate with the colours of your fabrics

• Thread for hand basting

• Batting at least 140 x 120cm (55 x 47in)

• 30cm ( 3/8yd) lightweight fusible batting (embroidery stabiliser)

• Hand quilting thread for joining the hexagons

• Fabric glue pen

• 0.1 brown pigment pen

• 126 pre-cut 2 1/2in hexagon papers
