    An alternative Adk bicyclist’s dream

    s an avid bicyclist, cross-country skier, and canoer I would like to offer an alternative to miles of underfunded, under-used, under-maintained, and under-patrolled converted rail trails that I have experienced around other remote areas of the state and country. Instead, imagine the entire Tupper Lake-Lake Placid rail corridor, interconnecting trails and waterways that connect with a viable, climate-smart railroad. This alternative provides the best low-impact access to remote sections of the Adirondacks. Drop off and pick up at any location for days of canoeing,
