Has your line of work shaped your sense of style? When I started out, I wasn’t immediately an antique jewellery dealer; I was dealing in pots and pans. That’s how I learned my art, my eye, fine-tuned things, and learned about history and how everything relates; the aesthetic of a culture, of a time. That’s how I can put [an outfit] together and know that it’s cool, know that it works for me.

Are you influenced by anyone?

My only reference apart from myself is Keith Richards. Back in the day, I loved the way he would tie and knot, anda floppy satin shirt that would have been made by [designer] Mary Quant or whoever, and he would just wear it… the perfect coat hanger.
