HIGH ALPINE ALLURE - THE HUMBLE BACK COUNTRY HUT

Perched high above the valley floor, nestled into the curve of the hill away from the chill of the southerly wind, I gaze out across the horizon through the soft light of a winter's afternoon. I’m surrounded by peaks, lakes and valleys as far as the eye can see. From this altitude you take in the true magnitude of the Southern Alps. Twinkling lights
