Coping with FIBROMYALGIA

Symptoms of fibromyalgia include widespread and variable pain, fatigue, increased skin sensitivity, a lack of restorative sleep and muscle stiffness. The pain is described by some as ‘burning’ or ‘all over’ but there is great variation in type, location and severity. The fatigue can be overwhelming, preventing the ability to work or enjoy social events. Headaches, dizziness, clumsiness, memory and concentration difficulties are common, and it may be associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
