SHE WAS DYING and we didn’t know

Every time I work away from home, I send a text to my wife Sian to wish her goodnight. I find comfort in the thought that her phone blinks alive every time I send a message to the woman I love, even though I know she’ll never see it. You see, Sian passed away in January 2019, aged only 48.
