Lion’s Roar: The first Gathering, which was hosted by Lion’s Roar and the Union Theological Seminary, brought together 28 black teachers for two days, followed by a pubic panel discussion. This time you had 70 teachers meeting for five days, followed by a public weekend attended by 300 African America practitioners. How did it feel to see so much growth and energy?

Konda Mason: It was crazy. It was amazing. Everybody was just completely blown away at the amount of interest and the number of people who came. We were at capacity.
