LUNCHBOX TIPS

Freeze a small bottle of water to keep the rest of the lunchbox cool – it should defrost by lunchtime, ready for drinking.

A mini thermos or insulated jar is a great way to keep all kinds of soups and stews warm through the colder months, and other food, such as salads, cool during the hotter months.

Adapt recipes to suit individual tastes, making sure to include protein, low GI carbohydrates (such as whole grains and pasta), calcium and enough fruit and veg to help reach your 7-a-day.
