WHEN HAND-LOADING, it is important to ensure that the bullet is consistently seated so that its central longitudinal axis is in perfect alignment with that of the cartridge case and thus with that of the bore. If the case isn’t properly concentric or the bullet properly aligned, excessive run-out can occur, causing poor and inconsistent accuracy and even variations in bullet velocities.
