HAVING A HEALTHY menstrual cycle is a sign your reproductive system functions properly. So for most women, periods are a minor inconvenience. But for about 30 per cent of us, the monthly menstrual cycle triggers premenstrual syndrome (PMS), a debilitating range of physical and emotional symptoms that can last for weeks. According to the National Association For Premenstrual Syndrome), this chronic condition reoccurs monthly from ovulation until menstruation.
