2020 Shades Of Fortune

THE start of a New Year is now upon us and marks the perfect time to wash away the past, reflect on lessons learnt, focus on what you want to accomplish, cleanse the soul, and make room for a cosmically-aligned and zen 2020. Colour the future as you see fit!

Capricorn

December 22 – January 19

Cards Of The Year: Two Of Swords, The Lovers (reversed), Knight Of Pentacles, King Of Cups, Four Of Pentacles, The Tower

Resolutions: To show perseverance, heart and a drive to succeed in all aspects of your life.

THIS year the greatest lesson you will learn is that you have complete control over only one thing in the universe – your thinking – and you will realise that’s where your superpower lies. January will see you strive to get back on the wagon with extra caution towards diet and exercise as well as emotional wellbeing. People who are emotionally healthy are in control of their feelings and behaviours, and are able to cope with life’s challenges. If single, new love is on the horizon for the months of March and April but you might not be ready to break down the walls you have built so steadfast around your heart just yet, following a recent and rather horrid breakup. Don’t keep objects that remind you of the failed relationship. This includes any letters, photographs or other physical remnants - no matter how romantic or nostalgic you are. If you do decide to embark on new love, be careful of choosing a partner who is ‘safe’ and ‘convenient’. Liking someone simply because they keep you company is not a good enough reason to hang around. Towards the middle of the year, you’ll experience financial growth and business expansion. While the money will flow, don’t be over-confident and spend everything in one shot. Your good run of luck might very well only be temporary. Someone in the work place will attempt to rain on your parade during the month of September. This person has a tendency to set over-optimistic goals and then spend most of their time in anxiety, and this overflows and affects everyone around them, including you. Turn the tables around and try to have a better understanding of their circumstances. October will likely be one of the hardest months of 2020. A tragedy may knock you off your feet. Suffering is part of life, so be kind to yourself.

As much as you might want to deny what has occurred, you must begin to slowly face reality. Forgive yourself for not being able to control the situation, and reflect on how to control your thinking. November and December will be periods of consideration. Between moments of madness you will experience feelings of beauty, growth, compassion and happiness. Spending quality time with people you cherish will help the process of healing.

Pisces

(February 19 – March 20)

Cards Of The Year: Knight Of Swords, Nine Of Pentacles, Eight Of Wands, Ace Of Cups, Four Of Swords, The Chariot

Resolutions: To create a relaxing home environment and choose wisely when it comes to love. relating to either your spouse or your child or yourself, so be alert with your outflow for this time period. Health wise, expect a year of colds, sore throats, and earaches. Ongoing stress makes your body less able to respond to cortisol, a hormone that controls your body’s response to threats like the virus that causes the common cold. Try thinking out the box of ways to prevent illness before it strikes - perhaps a detox bath designed to drain toxins from your body? Use ingredients like epsom salt, ginger, and essential oils dissolved into warm water in the bathtub. You can soak for 12 minutes to an hour at a time. Detox baths may help with certain cold symptoms by calming the body and easing muscle aches. Taking an immune booster and multivitamins may also assist.

SOMEONE once said, “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up,” and this will be the lesson of the year. You’ve been
