2020 Vision
The year of 2020 is predicted to bring NASA’s Mars Rover Mission and Uber’s flying taxis. But, rather than cutting-edge technological advancements, the overarching trend for our homes is expected to be further grounding ourselves in nature (that is, biophilia: the concept that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connection with nature).
Rather than the sole environmental focus being on climate protection and sustainability, well-being will also become a central theme in design and architecture in 2020. Unique trend narratives will unfold and begin to influence how we live, design and work,
