MADE in Turkey for Winchester, the company touts it as "The world’s fastest repeater," and that claim isn't far off the mark. During testing we found the cycling amazingly fast not only due to the short travel of the bolt, also because the gun can held solidly against the shoulder while the right hand yanks the bolt handle back and lets the spring and inertia assisted bolt slam forward under its own impetus to chamber a shell.
A lot of the speed of repetition comes from the fact that the hand operating the bolt doesn't have to move far back to wrap around the grip and trigger. Also, the gunner’s aim is not as much disturbed as it would be if he had his hand wrapped around a pump-handle which is an impediment to really fast operation. The lever-action is undeniably fast to operate, but I believe the straight-pull bolt may have a slight edge, even though it may be only a few milliseconds. But any slight difference
