    Project Gro and Thunderpants fund more organic gardens

    In April a special Project Gro funding round was made possible through collaboration between Soil & Health and Thunderpants.

    The successful applicants were: Oxford St Community Garden (Masterton), Te Kura a Papatuanuku Wairarapa – Earth School Charitable Trust (Carterton), Haumanu Community Gardens (Carterton), Martinborough Community Garden (Martinborough), Hands On Food (Palmerston North), Matipo School (Te Atatu Peninsula, West Auckland).

    “These projects are all wonderful and inspiring and give a lot of hope for the future. We will follow them with interest,” said Marion Thomson, of Soil & Health’s National Council. “Special thanks to Thunderpants for their generosity.”

    All applicants received $500 which includes a membership to Soil & Health and subscription to , plus some seeds supplied by Pakaraka Permaculture. The recipients are using the funding for
