HOSPITALITY

01 10 Minutes by Tractor

D – Cox Architecture

P – Shannon McGrath

This refurbishment celebrates the experience of journey, arrival, approach and destination to curate a fine dining experience rich in the artefacts of winemaking and terroir. Cox Architecture looked to the unique intersections of the natural landscape to inform the interior direction.

02 8bit Little Collins

D – Architects EAT

P – Derek Swalwell

Posing the question of what it would be like to dine in a hidden level of your favourite video game, 8bit Little Collins is a world where Minecraft meets Mario for a burger – a pixelated world with a modern twist brought to life through colour, form and graphic representation.

03 Angus & Bon

D – Bergman & Co.

P – Eugene Hyland

With the bones of Prahran’s old Post Office as a foundation and a design brief inspired by New York’s famed steakhouses, the design response is a restaurant/bar that merges old world theatrics with sustainable contemporary design.

04 Bar Carolina

D – Chris Connell Design

P – Earl Carter

Comprising a modern Italian restaurant and bar with seating for 70, a long, narrow, plan leads guests through three distinct dining zones: patio, bar and banquette dining, all of which are connected by the continuous dark navy dado panelling.

05 Bentwood

D – RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN

P – Tom Blanchford

Paying homage to the site’s historic archetype as a furniture workshop and later as the Thonet showroom, the palate of red brick and primed steal was informed by the original Heritage façade and surrounding streetscape.
