One night, a decade or so ago, I was watching actor David Duchovny (you know, Mulder from the ?) playing the role of. He was charming his ex-wife Karen, an architect, by taking her to visit a home by her favourite architect, Ray Kappe. This was before I decided to study architecture, but I still recall immediately hitting pause, Google image-searching Ray's work and buying a book. It was then that I came across his best known project, a home for himself, wife Shelly and kids.
