    Ceramicist

    Gemma Orkin has been a ceramicist for 25 years. Following her completion of a degree in fine art and training in ceramics under Barbara Jackson, she taught ceramics for 10 years. Orkin is inspired by the beauty of nature which seems “so effortless, present and quiet”. Her whimsical  creations are available to purchase both locally and internationally.

    All of my ceramics are handmade and hand-painted by me. I use no moulds, wheels – just my hands. My work is high-fired stoneware, food-safe and dishwasher-safe.
