David Adams Wealth Group

David Adams is one of Tennessee’s most successful financial advisors and is frequently featured in publications like the Huffington Post, USA Today, and Investment News. Recently named one of the Best in State advisors by Forbes, David knows a thing or two about helping Nashville’s citizens manage their finances and make plans for retirement. David’s 15+ years of experience have taught him many lessons, but a recent situation with his own father convinced David it was time to fix the broken concept of retirement.

After his father had a health scare and just couldn’t conceive of retiring, David realized that the “magic number” was keeping his dad handcuffed to a job that was killing him. David was able to convince his father that he had indeed saved enough. Seeing the relief on his father’s face solidified David’s goal – to teach as many people as possible how to retire while they work.

“The concept is pretty simple,” says Adams. “Financial pundits spread the same doom and gloom messages. They scare people into believing that they’ll never have enough money to retire. However, by the time people reach retirement, many are too sick to enjoy it. My goal is to help people learn to enjoy life today and retire on their own terms.”

David’s first book, The Currency of Time, debuted in January and focuses on teaching people of all ages and income levels how to change their perception of retirement. “I’m passionate about educating Nashville’s citizens on the ‘retire while you work’ philosophy,” says Adams. If your book club or business group is looking for a dynamic speaker with a fresh message, David is committed to saying yes to all speaking requests this year in honor of his father. “My dad taught me that how you spell l-o-v-e is t-i-m-e,” says Adams. “I’m committing my time to help teach others how to live without fear”.
