aiko, the art of Japanese drumming, evolved from military use in ancient times to entertainment for festivals and religious ceremonies. Discover the history, sounds, in Delray Beach on April 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Performers from local drumming group Fushu Daiko will teach participants about the connection between nature and movement as they lead instruction in the dynamic playing style, which makes for a full-body workout.
