I HAVE A ROW OF books that I call the Books That Changed My Life. It includes the first book I learned to read (), the book that), and the book that inspired me to want to be a writer (). I’ve set apart poetry, memoirs, Christian classics, and novels that ministered to me through grief, inspired me as a writer, and took me to a deeper place with Jesus. For a short time, I included a book that brought back painful memories, until Jesus healed that wound and I decided it was time to put it on another shelf.
