WINNING LETTER

Home sweet home

Belinda Milner of Bapsfontein writes

Wicus, I read your letter in the December 2018 issue and was determined to reply to your question: “Where is your favourite place on earth?” However, being me, things went astray (mostly my mind) but I’ve somehow managed to circle back...

We bought a smallholding (and equally frustrated due to finances), we set about turning this grotty house into a home we love. It seems like there’s a never-ending list of things to do. We decided from the get-go that we would save and fix, so we still don’t have ceilings and the outside desperately needs to be painted. (I had every intention of taking photos as we progressed so I could enter the competition – I haven’t gotten around to that either!).
