Kaphas are the most likely to gain weight and have water retention. Eat light, dry, warming foods as well as spicy, bitter, astringent ones to dry excess fluids. Stick to a mainly plant-based diet with lots of fibrous vegetables and light fruits such as apples, pears and berries. Avoid sweet, heavy, sour fruits, as well as barley, wheat, quinoa, basmati rice and millet.
