THE GIG ECONOMY 101

ABOUT 2.5 MILLION people in Australia work in the gig economy (working freelance or on short-term contracts rather than being permanent), or about a quarter of the workforce. Safe to say a lot of them are millennials. Airtasker, Airbnb, Deliveroo, Uber… this kind of work can offer flexibility and sweet, sweet cash – but it also has its downsides. Watch out for:
