■ Shakespeare Festival St. Louis has named Elizabeth Archer, Myah Gary, and Rob Maesaka as participants of the 2020 Confluence Regional Writers Project. The playwrights will visit St. Louis throughout the year for writing sessions and workshops, culminating in presentations of their works at the 2020 Confluence New Play Festival.

■ TCG has announced the recipients of its third round of the 2019 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $415,000, allow nine productions by Emma Lively and Tyler Beattie, by Eboni Booth, by John Logan with music and lyrics by the Avett Brothers, by Martyna Majok, by Karen Zacarías, by Hilary Bettis, by Adam Bock, by Nathan Englander, and by Madhuri Shekar.
