First, a few generalities. Motorcyclists, as a rule, like to have more than one motorcycle – that’s a fact. Another thing I have noticed (see how observant I am!) is the majority of the guys who are restoring motorcycles are aged 60 or over. Which is fact two. So, it was a pleasure when attending a classic motorcycle show in the summer of 2019 that I met a young man – in his thirties – who has transferred from riding sports bikes to restoring classics. So far, he has completed a very tasty Norton Model 7, and received a couple of prizes for his efforts, an interesting 1934 350cc BSA and is now working on a 1951 500cc 16H Norton.
