Creating an out-of-this-world indie film

In the age of Netflix and Amazon Prime there’s an endless scroll of content for film fans to sift through. Yet, I still struggle to find female-centric shows that are representative of how people actually look in real life and sit within the science fantasy genre. This is where the idea for DISPEL first began. I saw a niche in the market that needed to be filled. After all, if you can’t find the movie you want to watch, why not make it yourself?

DISPEL premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival in July 2019, with additional screenings at Indy Shorts, BronzeLens, Comicpalooza, Lady Filmmakers, Black Harvest and many more. The film is now free to watch online for audiences worldwide.
