Atomic Design
Owner Lawrence Blairs recently expanded his collection of refurbished 1950s and ’60s originals – from the likes of the Eameses, Verner Panton and Pierre Paulin – to include post-modernist designs from the ’70s and early ’80s. There are also plenty of smaller items; among AD’s decor accents are hand-blown Murano glass table lamps, neon art lights and a selection of Scandinavian and Italian glassware. 965 QUEEN ST W 416 912 2358 ATOMICDESIGN.CA
Bungalow
Aficionados of mid-century Scandinavian furniture and accents make Bungalow a regular stop, thanks to its collection of impeccably maintained and refurbished vintage dining sets and occasional chairs. Art glass from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s peppers the space, and in the “rec room” downstairs are Danish gems in teak, walnut and rosewood, including dressers, coffee tables and sideboards. 273 AUGUSTA AVE 416 598 0204 BUNGALOW.TO
