Patriot needs £100k to complete boiler work

THE LMS-Patriot Company is appealing for £100,000 to complete the boiler for No. 5551 The Unknown Warrior, which is nearing its final stages at Heritage Boiler Steam Services (HBSS) at Huyton, Merseyside.

Since the boiler appeal was first launched in 2010 when the contract was awarded to LNWR Heritage at Crewe, then owned by Pete Waterman, the design specifications and costings have changed and additional items that were not originally costed in the original estimate are now required as the boiler approaches completion.
