    MATERIALS

    • 85cm (1yd) solid white fabric (centre background, Borders 2, 3 and 5)

    • 50cm ( 5/8yd) turquoise print fabric (Borders 1 and 4 and binding)

    • 20cm (¼yd) each of red and green print fabrics (Border 3)

    • Scraps of assorted green print fabrics (appliqué leaves) and five other fabrics (flower centres)

    • 90cm (1yd) backing fabric

    • Batting at least 91 x 102cm (36 x 40in)

    • 28 x 33cm (11 x 13in) rectangle of lightweight fusible woven interfacing (stitchery stabiliser)

    • Fusible web

    • Aurifil Cotton Mako Ne 12 threads in Yellow (2130), Red (2250), Pink (2452), Black (2692), Dark Blue (2725), Blue (2805) and Green (2882) or very fine crochet thread in desired colours (flowers)

    • Appliqué needle

    • Size 0.85mm (US 13/UK 7) steel crochet hook

    • Soft lead pencil or pen

    • Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat

    • Sewing machine with ¼in foot

    • General sewing supplies

    Stitches used: Backstitch, blanket stitch, French knot, running stitch, satin stitch, whipped backstitch

    Finished size: 72 x 80cm (28½ x 31½in)
