Largest salon OF ALL TIMES
With 100 years history, the 53th edition has become the largest of all times of the Paris Air Show, the world’s oldest aerospace event. The number of exhibitors in Le Bourget airport, in the outskirts of the French capital has exceeded the mark of 2.450 enterprises, a record. In addition to the traditional dispute between the leading aircraft manufacturers, both in the civilian and military market, this year the salon has highlighted technological trends and closed many businesses.
AIRBUS
A321XLR
The great launch of the Paris Air Show was the A321XLR, with intercontinental range, flying up to 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 kilometers) which represents 15% more than the A321LR, which makes it the world’s narrow-fuselage aircraft of longest range. This year, Airbus was given 383 jet orders, out of which 249 were only contracts of the A321XRL. Before beginning its farewell after the end of its production confirmed by Airbus, British Airways may add up to six used A380 aircrafts to its fleet.
