Probably best known for its Chardonnays, the Robertson valley has been producing some seriously good wines of various varietals in recent years, many of them made by young winemakers. It’s well worth planning an outing to the area to taste the wines and meet the people during the 12th annual Slow Food & Wine Festival from 9 to 11 August.
