TOBIE REYNEKE is an attorney specialising in conveyancing and notarial law in Roodepoort, Gauteng. The 47-year-old says he has now run more than 37,000km (just in races!), mostly on the road.

The number of marathons and ultras he had completed before finishing the Mac Mac Ultra 100 on 24 May was 312 (156 ultras and 156 marathons).

TOBIE'S STORY

I prefer 100 mile trail runs, but after a difficult trail run, I easily find my inner road runner who loves a flat piece of tar.

My favourite trail run distance is 100 miles, because there is no guarantee that you will succeed, only that you will be tested beyond your limits. I like to know where my boundaries
