MATERIALS
• Assorted scraps of print fabrics to total about 7.5m (8yd)
• 60cm ( 3/4yd) each of three stripe or check print fabrics (circle backgrounds)
• 90cm (1yd) each of two stripe or check print fabrics (circle backgrounds)
• 1.7m (1 7/8yd) check print fabric (Border 1)
• 2m (2 1/8yd) check print fabric (Borders 1 and 2)
• Semi-soluble fusible appliqué paper; Elizabeth used Hugs ’n Kisses fusible appliqué paper
• 50cm ( 5/8yd) mint green stripe print fabric (vine)
• 65cm ( 3/4yd) stripe print fabric (binding)
• 2.5m (2 3/4yd) extra-wide backing fabric — see Note
• Batting at least 245cm (96in) square
• Glue stick or pen
• Spray starch
• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot
• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• General sewing supplies
Finished size: 225cm (88 1/2in) square
Note: Read all the instructions before starting the project. It is recommended that fabrics be 100% cotton, pre-washed and well ironed. Requirements are based on fabrics 107cm (42in) wide, except for the backing fabric, which is 275cm (108in) wide. Seam allowances
