On reading June’s special on the 40th of the CBX1000, back in 1980 I had a red one supplied by Neil Tuxworth’s Honda, Lincs. I found the engine to be a revelation, so smooth and revving so readily: one of the less positives was the fuel consumption; riding it hard it might return 29mpg!
