With the growing popularity of entire months devoted to sobriety – FebFast, Dry July, Ocsober – you could be forgiven for thinking temperance was a beverage trend to watch. That observation wouldn’t be too far from the truth according to Enhanced Media Metrics Australia (EMMA).

“Around half of people aged 18 and over say they’re drinking less now than they used to. Yet the move to premium beverages means Australians are actually spending more per head for their favourite tipple,” states EMMA’s alcoholic beverages trends and insights report.
