SO WHAT TYPES OF CROPS WILL BE DEVOURED BY YOUR CHICKENS?

 As any chicken keeper knows, chickens have a fondness for young tender green shoots which are not only highly digestible, they’re packed with minerals and nutrients too. Shoots from grains such as wheat, oat and rye are highly prized by poultry and lend themselves to being sown in shallow trays. Once the shoots are around 6-8cm (2-3in) high you can offer the juicy pickings by the tray load.
