SPINACH

SOW: Mar-May/ Aug-Sep

HARVEST: Jan-Dec

Having its origins in the Middle East, it seems strange that this leafy vegetable is comfortable in the often cool and wet UK climate, but comfortable it is. Traditionally grown to full maturity, spinach is also now very popular as a baby leaf, added to salads and stir-fries.
