There is good news for the caravanning industry, especially for Campworld dealerships across the country which have been struggling for months since production ground to a standstill at Jurgens Ci, South Africa’s biggest caravan manufacturer.

A new company called LeisureWorld has been formed by 17 dealerships to ensure that the leisure-vehicle industry remains in good hands, that caravans can still be serviced, and repairs and new parts are readily available. This includes Jurgens caravans.

Under the managing directorship of Jan Serfontein and Arnold Prosch, LeisureWorld has already secured import and export permits for caravan parts and camping equipment, and have built relationships with suppliers of parts and accessories.

They are even importing the raw materials to use locally for manufacturing.

Caravan & Outdoor Life spoke to managing directors Jan and Arnold about the exciting new venture.
