MATERIALS

• Fat eighth of calico or cream linen – Tania used an old heavy cotton bed sheet (head and arms) • Fat eighth of multicoloured floral print fabric – Tania used a vintage fabric from an op shop (dress) • 15cm (6in) square of black and white knit fabric – Tania used an old T-shirt (legs) • 20 x 30cm (8 x 12in) black felt (hair) • Scrap of pink felt (cheeks) • 55cm ( 5/8yd) of 6mm ( 1/4in) wide burgundy ribbon • 15cm (6in) square of lightweight fusible interfacing • DMC Stranded Embroidery Cotton in Very Light Dusty Rose (151), Black (310) and Red (321) • Fibre fill • Turning tool or chopstick • Cardboard, paper, glue and HB pencil (patterns) • White tailor’s chalk and water-erasable fabric-marking pen • Sewing machine with 1/4in foot• General sewing supplies
