• 15 x 30cm (6 x 12in) cream linen (embroidery background) • 20cm ( 1/4yd) blue check, blue floral or blue with red floral print fabric (pincushion front and back) • DMC Stranded Embroidery Cotton in Dark Antique Blue (930), Medium Antique Blue (931), Light Antique Blue (932), Very Light Antique Blue (3752) and Ultra Very Light Antique Blue (3753) • DMC Perlé No 8 Cotton in Medium Antique Blue (931) • No 9 or No 10 crewel embroidery needle • No 9 or No 10 milliner’s (straw) needle (for bullion stitch) • 15cm (6in) embroidery hoop (optional) • Thin cardboard or stiff paper • Fibre fill • Template plastic and permanent-marking pen • Pigma pen in brown or B-grade pencil• General sewing supplies
