• Fabrics A, D, E, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, DD

• Template plastic and fine-point permanent-marking pen

• Cardboard

• Appliqué pins or glue

• Erasable fabric-marking pen

• Spray starch

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot

• General sewing supplies

JACOB’S COAT – BLOCK 6A

1 From Fabric W, cut: • One square, 8 1/2in (background).

2 Trace the large ‘leaf’ shape from the Pattern Sheet onto template plastic using a fine-point permanent-marking pen. Cut it out on the traced line. Use it to make a matching template from cardboard.

3 Lay the plastic template on the wrong side of each of Fabrics A, E, H, I, J, L, M,
