What a card

I notice that in recent weeks some letters have been received by AP regarding Wi-Fi functionality for DSLR cameras. These comments usually focus on whether or not the functionality exists to transfer JPEG and/or raw files from the user's camera to a smartphone or other device (for example using proprietary software embedded in SnapBridge, FluCard, and so on).

An inexpensive and reliable solution can be found in the use of Toshiba FlashAir cards (of which I cannot recall any mention in your publication). I have successfully used these to transfer raw and JPEG files from my Pentax K-7 to my smartphone after a simple setup process; furthermore there is no need to connect to (or to be anywhere near) an existing Wi-Fi network as the card generates its own Wi-Fi
