His work explores such themes as the problem of evil and religious hypocrisy—which he knows a lot about, having graduated from Wheaton College. He is the creator of Pastor Pillow and the “Christian Right Weekly Round-Up” column, which appears every Sunday morning at Forward Progressives.
Arik’s writing is featured regularly at Patheos, and he was a major contributor for the infamous gonzo alt weekly Columbia City Paper in South Carolina. His work has been read by hundreds of thousands of people−yet, sadly, not by one single quokka.
He holds degrees in archaeology, ancient languages and library science. He loves snow and hippos and enjoys retelling the story of how he was once shat upon by pigeons during Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and thereafter fled down the Via Dolorosa in search of a towel.
He has four e-books available: "The R-Rated Theologian," "Why Bad Things Happen to Good Parrots," and "Pastor Pillow Talks"−plus his debut short story collection, "Birds of a Feather." He will be releasing one other title in 2015: "Waiting for Civilization."

p.s. Arik is a native Minnesotan who now resides in South Carolina. Please send him pictures of snow on occasion.visualizza meno
