In April of 1993 he founded a small public relations firm in Alexandria, Louisiana. Most responsible for operations management and new business development, Parrish enjoyed many roles in strategic planning and customer relations.
In 1998 Parrish became heavily involved with workforce development. Quickly learning the principles of adult learning (A.D.D.I.E.), he began designing and developing his own programs based on interpersonal disciplines.
By 2000, Parrish had qualified and been accepted into the National Speaker's Association, he quickly became passionate in the field of personal development and human performance. Soon after, he became heavily involved in the disciplines of Human Performance Improvement (HPI).
In 2001 Parrish was recognized by the Louisiana department of Labor as a primary training provider under the Incumbent Worker's Training Program (IWTP). Parrish is the author and instructor of three specialized leadership courses delivered within IWTP.
Inspired by many in the field of Psychology, Parrish has many mentors from which he has learned and incorporates key learning aides into his own presentation style and material. Parrish's greatest and most recent influence is Dr. Daniel Goleman and his research on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace.
Most all of the instruction and lesson material that Parrish develops compliments the fundamental skills outlined in Emotional Intelligence. The fundamental lesson objective deals with improved decision making based on new levels of personal responsibility.
Parrish has served his community as President of the Board for The Boys and Girls Club of Central Louisiana, as well as a board member for the Rapides Parish Workforce Investment Board's Youth Council. He currently is involved with the local chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
Today you will find Parrish as a published author on the subjects of personal & professional development, adult learning and organizational health. He enjoys his association with the National Speakers Association and conducting training seminars around the country.
Parrish is devoted to his wife and four children. The family worships at Calvary Baptist Church whereby he actively studies and participates in a spiritual men's accountability group.visualizza meno
