DEFINITION DECORATIVE TEXTILE

Textile arts are those arts and crafts that use plant, animal or synthetic fibers to construct practical or decorative objects. Concepts The word textile is from Latin texere which means "to weave", "to braid" or "to construct". The simplest textile art is felting, in which animal fibers are matted together using heat and moisture. Most textile arts begin with twisting or spinning and playing fibers to make yarn The yarn is then knotted, looped, braided, or woven to make flexible fabric or cloth, and cloth can be used to make clothing and soft furnishings. All of these items felt, yarn, fabric, and finished objects are collectively referred to as textiles.

FABRIC PROCESSING
TYPES OF PRE TREATMENT :

SINGEING DESIZING SCOURING MERCERISATION

SINGEING MACHINE : To reduce the projective fiber on the fabric mostly it is applied on cotton fabrics. Speed : 80-150 m/min. DESIZING MACHINE : To reduce desizing material on the fabric. Temp. : 900 Chemical : EL-40

SCOURING : Scouring is a chemical washing process carried out on cotton fabric to remove natural wax and non-fibrous impurities (e.g. the remains of seed fragments) from the fibres and any added soiling or dirt. MERCERISATION : To increase dye pick up, lusture strength and absorbency of fabric. Temp. : 450-500 Speed : 18 m/min

DYEING
JIGGER DYEING MACHINE A dyeing machine in which cotton fabric in open width is transferred repeatedly from one roller to another and passes each time through a dye bath of relatively small volume. Temp. : 450

JET DYEING MACHINE A high-temperature piece-dyeing machine that circulates the dye liquor through a Venturi jet, thus imparting a driving force to move the fabric. The fabric, in rope form, is sewn together to form a loop.

FINISHING
After the dyeing process finishing is applied on fabric according to customer demand & fabric need. TYPES OF FINISHES SOFT FINISH : CHEMICAL USED

ULTRATEX SILICONE SOFTNER SP 100 : MBH PHOBETEX (60 G.P.L.)

FIRE RETARDENT : WATER REPPLIENT TAFFLON FINISH :

FINISHING MACHINES
All the finishing are done in STENTER FINISHING MACHINE. Temperature is set according to fabric quality. Example : For Light Weight Cotton : 1400 For Heavy Weight Cotton : 1600-1700 For Polyester : 1800-2000

SHRINKAGE MACHINE
In this machine fabric become soft and shrinkage is removed. It is mainly used for Cotton Fabrics. Heat Roller Pressure : 6-7 Kg.

CALENDERING MACHINE
In this machine that adds gloss & luster to cotton fabric by passing it through rollers.

FOLDING OF FABRIC
