TITLE
Analyzes : examine (something) methodically and in detail (oxford dictionary) Analyzes is a verb The title should be in a form of phrase (in phrase there is no verb) Analyzes should be analysis (noun)

ABSTRACT
As a megapolitan city, Jakarta is the center of government, trading, etc. To support these relevant activities, terrestrial transportation plays an important role. This will bring the consequences, the increasing of fuel demand and eventually the increasing of fuel combustion emission in ambient air. One of the pollutant that have been emitted is Total Suspended Particulate (TSP). On the specific level TSP pollution can cause breathing apparatus disturbance symptom. The aim of this research is to obtaindarta of ambient air quality that affected by road side activities and its impact on public health condition in research area, espicially on breathing apparatus. Method which is applied on this research is case control study, so that the research is carried out ain two location, Senen sub distric and Ciomas Rahayu Village. In each area the air sample, temperature and wind velocity are taken and then analyzed using gravimetric method in HIPERKES laboratory, Jakarta. Analyzes result then processed using statistical linear regression method. Whereas breathing apparatus disturbance symptom has been detected by spreading the questionnaire which residence in that two areas then analyzes using statistical logistic regression.

The selection of air sampling location in the two research area are based on wind direction and the locations which have the heavy transportation activitiess such as surrounding bus terminal, train statiun afrom thatnd shopping area. Starting from that the sampling point is confirmed, three points in Senen sub district and two points in Ciomas Rahayu Village The highest concentration in Senen sub district is 716,28 g/Nm and the lowest is 393,20 g/Nm whereas in Ciomas Rahayu is 103,20 g/Nm and 46,23 g/Nm. Total respondent collected in each two area is 100 respondents. The result is 63 respondents in Senen positively infected breathing apparatus disturbance symptom, whereas in Ciomas Rahayu only 30 respondents which positively infected. Linear regression statistical analyzes in Senen shows that TSP concentration 100% is influenced by temperature, wind velocity, humidity, sunray and traffic.

Logistic regression analyzes shows the significant correspondence number between sort of profession related with dust, working penod and smoking period against the rising of breathing apparatus disturbance symptom for the respondent in Senen is 97,20% whereas in Ciomas Rahayu only 11,46%. From previous analyzes, the Odd Ratio is generated on 3.9 which means that the risk (probability) of people in Senen to positively infected breathing apparatus disturbance symptoms is 3.9 times higher than peoples in Ciomas Rahayu

THE OBJECTIVE
The aim of this study was to obtain data of ambient air quality that was affected by road side activities and its impact on public health condition in research area, especially on breathing apparatus

MATERIALS AND METHOD

Case Control Study : the research was conducted in two place in order to compare the result (Senen sub district and Ciomas Rahayu Village) Sampling : taking a sample of air, temperature and wind velocity Gravimetric method Linear regression method Questionnaire

RESULT
The highest concentration in Senen sub district is 716,28 g/Nm and the lowest is 393,20 g/Nm whereas in Ciomas Rahayu is 103,20 g/Nm and 46,23 g/Nm. Out of 100 respondent, there were 63 respondents in Senen positively infected breathing apparatus disturbance symptom, whereas in Ciomas Rahayu only 30 respondents which positively infected TSP concentration is 100% influenced by temperature, wind velocity, humidity, sunray and traffic

CONCLUSION
The risk (probability) of people in Senen to positively infected breathing apparatus disturbance symptoms was 3.9 times higher than people in Ciomas Rahayu

INTRODUCTION
Air pollution in big cities in Indonesia, especially Jakarta has affected the health of people living in the city, especially those related to the respiratory tract of humans and animals. Until 1996, the number of motor vehicles in Jakarta has reached 2.8 million and will continue to increase by about 20% per year with the increase of population and economic activity (Bapedalda DKI Jakarta, 1996). Based on LPM-ITB research, the contribution of transportation activities to air pollution in Jakarta is 66.34%, 18.9% of industrial activities and 14.8% of natural factors. Besides exacerbating poor sanitary conditions of urban public health, it can be seen from the slums are narrow and coincide because of limited land coupled vertilasi unfavorable.
