May 3 - June 2, 2012: David Lewis, Mon. through Sat. 10 am to 5:30 pm David Carmack Lewis : 206 SW First Ave. DAVID CARMACK LEWIS paints oil paintings on canvas depicting intriguing, unusual and ordinary scenes from neighborhood life. Glowing fires, crows, people, animals, structures, and train stations often appear in his paintings. He wants you to create a story that inspires you by viewing his paintings. His career began as an illustrator, and he has never given up on narrative image making. Originally from Virginia, David has resided in Portland, Oregon since 2001. He earned his BFA at the Virginia Commonwealth University and also studied in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
