RESEARCH TOPIC
The Study as to Whether the Performance Appraisal System Measures Team Effectiveness at ABC COMPANY
1. INTRODUCTION
Why I was guided to select this topic The Study as to Whether the Performance Appraisal System Measures Team Effectiveness was that in order to gain this competitive advantage, it is the team work that remains the ultimate to gain competitive advantage, which is powerful tool and has gone unseen. We have seen that companies that are restructuring, retrenching, down-sizing for the obvious reason has basically excellent strategies, high-tech technology etc, but the performance has been of unsatisfactory standards, as they have not monitored the real value of the performance within teams of their organization. The importance of work teams appears to be gaining in strength as jobs get bigger, organizational structures get more complex, and more and more companies become multi-national in scope. Many jobs are becoming increasingly complex, less time-bound and global in scope. All these factors collectively are making it increasingly difficult for one person to perform a single job. In todays corporate environment, it appears the team not the individual that holds the key to business success. This research study will explain how team base performance impacts on team effectiveness which is the basis in organizational effectiveness.
Identify the Performance Appraisal System measures team effectiveness or does it still measure individual performances.
